A Lesson Learned

Dalton was obviously so bored that the only way he could find to
occupy himself was to chew on the end of a pen....he was so into the
movie that he didn't realize he had sucked the ink right up the tube...
This is after he brushed his teeth....I laughed so hard at him.
The look on his face was priceless...he was so relieved that
it came off....well, most of it ;o}

~A Beautiful Full Moon~
...all alone...
Well....I guess it would have been ~ if I was snuggling
with my darling hubby instead of this....
Thank God!
Dear hubby has been walking around with a can of Lysol all day.
He is the only one who hasn't had the virus. I hope he doesn't
get it...he's not exactly the easiest sick person to take care of ;o}

Chicken Noodle Soup & a Virus
Here is the recipe~just in case some one else comes down with the bug ;o}
2 T butter
1/4 cup chopped onion
3 stalks chopped celery
1 T parsley flakes
8 chicken legs
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup canned green peas and carrots
1 c milk
1 bag egg noodles, cooked and drained
salt & pepper to taste
Sometimes I add a sprinkle of Montreal Chicken seasoning too!
Cook chicken in water until done. Remove chicken from pot
(reserving broth)and remove from bone. Add enough water to broth to
make 5 cups; set aside. In a large pot, melt butter and add
onion and celery; sauté until onion is tender. Add the
parsley, chicken, & soups. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to medium-low and
simmer for 20 minutes. Add the peas and carrots,
cover, and simmer for 10 minutes longer. Stir in the milk, along with the
cooked noodles; add salt & pepper to taste. Heat through.
Stay healthy!

I have so much to be thankful for...I could stay up all night typingthem out and wouldn't even get close to finished.
I am thankful for my Savior. For Him saving me, my husband & my children.
I am so thankful for my husband. He is the smartest, hardest working
man I know. I thank God every day for putting us together...
I am thankful for my children. They are each a blessing and I know
God has big plans for their lives.
I am thankful for my health and the health of my family. I think
that sometimes we take being healthy for granted.
Like I said...there are so many, many more things to list...
...but I would probably lose most of you around # 10 or so...
...if I haven't lost you already. ;o}
Remember to count your blessings this holiday season!

Come to find out..Ethan was being silly and taking randompictures in his room. Not only do I have the silly Foto...I
have a story to go with it. ....you see, the bear went shopping
at American Eagle, stopped for a cold Pepsi and then went hunting....
He shot a big buck and kept the antlers for a hat.
Sure, now he can come up with a silly short story...but when
he has to write one for school...he has absolutely NO
imagination! ;o}

Cup of Friendship Award
The award comes with a questionnaire...so here goes...
1. Do you have the same friends since childhood?
Not close friends. I married right out of high school and moved away. I never really kept in touch with anyone. When I go back home I may see a few familiar faces, but that's it.
2. What do you value most about your friends?
Honesty...sincerity...
3. Are your friends your sounding boards?
No ~ not really.
4. What is your favorite activity to share with your friends?
Playing games... lunch... sittin' back & relaxin' ;o}
I would like to give this award to everyone...but that would make for one
REALLY long post ;o}..so, I think I will do it this way!
If you visit this blog regularly...I consider you a friend...It is too hard for me
to just pick a few to give this award too. There are so many that I would love
to sit back, relax and enjoy a creamy, hot cappuccino with...
(I don't like coffee) ;o}
So friends...consider yourself awarded!
