Well...results are in...the good news is...the

ulcers are just stress related :)

I guess if that can be good news...but one

thing I've learned...things could always be worse!

After some meds they should be well underway to healing :)

Stressed out

Did you know that stomach ulcers can cause cancer??

Seriously?? Isn't that crazy?!

Had a Dr's appt today to check my blood, my thyroid...

well, just about everything (she's goes to my church

and wants to cover all the bases)

I have 2 ulcers...atleast I did in June.

I think they have since married and started a family :)

because I have lost 23 lbs since then. Sure, I can

tell I have lost weight...but I didn't think it was

that much of a difference...still don't really :) but since

I can't walk into church without someone asking

me "what's wrong with me" I thought I'd better

have it checked out.

Results should be in soon.

Honestly...I think it's just stress.

It is just me or does it reflect poorly when

the Pastor's wife is stressed??

I mean, if anyone should things all figured out

and together...it should be the one who lives

with the man of God...right?

I don't remember my pastor's wife being stressed

about anything when I was a kid...she was

perfect (in my eyes)...she could cook some of the best

Italian food I had ever ever tasted, her house was

always spotless...she was always calm...

collected...quiet...dressed to a T...always knew

exactly what to say to make you smile...

Miss her so much!

AC's back on!

The heat & air guy finally came
yesterday afternoon and fixed the ac.
Thank the Lord-Of'course it only took
him about 10 minutes.

I'm not sure what was wrong with it-he

came right after I left to run some errands.
Which so figures, that seems to be when

they always come. :)

Before the ac was back on...the temp in

Ethan's room was a whopping 96 degrees!

The rest of the house was 91-his room just

so happens to be a few degress warmer year

round.

Thank you Lord for the AC :)

Excessive Heat Watch

 

I just looked up the weather forecast for

today and there are 3 weather alerts

for Dyer County, Tn.

#1 Regular Heat Advisory

#2 Excessive Heat Watch

#3 Extreme Heat Alert

I guess they wanted to stress the

importance of keeping cool and the

dangers of getting too hot.

Well, it seems the weather man forgot

to inform my central air unit that this

week is suppose to be super hot...because

as of yesterday, it has stopped working.

When we got home from church last

night it was 85 degrees in the house....

today it has gotten back up to 86 so far...

which isn't that bad :( but it is only

10 o'clock in the am too.

Maybe, just maybe the good Lord will

put a cloud over my house to cool us

off a little...just until the heat & air

guy gets here. :)

My Big Brother

This is my big brother...Brian.

He recently entered a country music showdown with

Froggy 103...I guess he made it through the first round

of eliminations (not sure about all of the details)

but now he has a chance to perform live this

Thursday night in Paris, TN 

It looks like he got all of the nerves out of the gene

pool :) and the talent to boot!...and now that ya

mention it, maybe even the good looks :)

Say a prayer for him!

Dalton brought her home last night...it's only

about the 12th pup he's brought home since

he's been big enough to carry one home.

AND if we didn't already have a dog...a

mama cat & 5 kittens...we would

consider keeping this one, she is

so very sweet!

The previous owner says she is part redbone

coonhound and part some other coonhound.

Well-it's been forever since I have posted...but

I do have excuses :) Good ones too!

One gallbladder that stopped working on me and

2 stomach ulcers that won't stop working on me!

UGH!

Who knew those things made you so sick?!

I have been way to close to the toilet over

the last few weeks!

 They finally took my gallbladder out and the relief

that everyone says is almost instant...wasn't!

(not to mention the 4 holes I have in my belly that really

hurt...well...the dr says technically...only one of them is

an incision?? I haven't figured that one out yet!

They all 4 look the part!)

So...after being put to sleep for the 2nd time

and having a scope down my throat...they

found the culprits.

2 ulcers.

I have named them!

Although...for security measures :)

I will NOT tell you their names.

:) Hope all is well with everyone!

The older I get, the less it takes to amuse me. :)

This morning, I was getting ready to mail out

a pillowcase dress to a buyer on ebay...

When I got to the post office Mrs. Brenda

pointed out to me the last name of the

buyer was... FULLENWIDER

As in FULL AND WIDER? :)

She got me tickled talking about it...

Was this her maiden name?

Did she get made fun of in school?

Was she a bigger lady?

Not that any of that really matters :)

...but now you know that it doesn't take

much to make me laugh.

My maiden name is Newsome...

Seriously?

It's not two weird words put together to

make one...and nothing rhymes with it...

You would think I was pretty safe with

 that one......but...there was one boy named

Chris, who always managed to find something

about me to make fun of and my name was no

exception with him around....he started

calling me Tracy Nuisance.

Which really got on my nerves at the time!

But that was 26 years ago :) 

WOW! I'm really getting old! 

AND I am sure I have been called

worse over the years :)

The biggest thing with my married name is

that it gets mis-pronounced alot.

Does anyone else have a name that people

have made fun of in the past?

A year ago today

I can't believe it's been a year since dad passed

away. At 10:10 AM  It just doesn't seem like

it has been that long.

me that the cancer was back...

Please be in prayer for mom today...

She can take comfort in knowing that dad is

with His Lord and has a healed, cancer free

body...but she sure does miss him :)

I'm so glad I was raised in a home with saved,

born-again parents...They were both saved! So,

I have the assurance that one day. (hopefully the Lord will

come back VERY soon!) I WILL see him again...

and so will mom. 

Everyone doesn't have that.

I couldn't imagine burying a loved one and

knowing that I WILL NEVER, EVER get 

to see them again.

If you have loved ones that you think/know are

not saved...have you witnessed to them?  

They may not have tomorrow...

you may not either...

I'm looking for two recipes...

I was sick a few weeks ago...sinus infection and

a virus is what the dr said...but I think it was some

form of the flu.

I was sick for about a week and a half and I'm just

now getting my appetite back...which

really stinks :)

Anyway...since then...I have been craving two things: 

chocolate mousse... 

and...

Tiramisu!

Most Tiramisu recipes call for coffee...

but I'm looking for one that doesn't...like

on the cruise ship, we had a mango flavored

tiramisu that was really, really good!

AND most chocolate mousse recipes call for

semi-sweet chocolate...which is another

one of my least favorites.

Anyone care to share a recipe?

Forgiveness

1 John 4:20 - If any man say, I love God, and hateth

his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his

brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God

whom he hath not seen?

Over my lifetime...I have spent alot of time with

people who claim to be Christians...I'm not talking

about just a generic label...I'm talking about folks

who claim to be saved, born-again believers.

Some of the most hateful, unforgiving people I

have met...I have met in church. Someone does

something to wrong another. It doesn’t matter how

silly or meaningless it all is, it just takes one thing

to set some people off and cause them to

hate and be unforgiving for the rest of their

lives.

They forgot that God gave the ultimate sacrifice

for us...and undeservedly so.

You can tell by the way they treat others...

You can't hide when you have anger or hatred towards

someone...it's going to come out some how.

Like hubby always says, "What's on the inside

comes out!" And it sure enough will......even when

you don't think anyone can tell.

Maybe with a hateful word whispered under

breath, a roll of the eyes...a tone in your voice...

believe it or not, body language says alot and

will usually tell on you...and lost people
are watching and listening.

...Or maybe you're one of those people who doesn't

care if people know how you feel about them...

What if that person isn't saved?

What if you think they are...but they're not?

What if they are looking to you for an example

of how a saved, sanctified, born-again believer 

should forgive as Christ forgave them?

Something to think about isn't it?

Some of us need to practice some forgiveness.

The word "forgive" means to pardon one for their

trespasses. To excuse a person from the things they

have done against you...to absolve them from any

punishment....to renounce your anger at that

person, and not to hold it against them.

You cannot forgive someone, and still be angry

at them for what they have done. You cannot forgive

someone, and still hold a grudge...that wouldn't

be true forgiveness...

God tells us to forgive others as HE has

forgiven us...

Ask yourself...what has this person done to me 

that I cannot forgive them when Christ forgave

me after all of my sins.

Christ asked His Father to forgive the very people

who were crucifying Him.

Don't let your anger get the best of you
and allow it to grow into hate...

We cannot hate our brother and claim to love God.
