A Cool Dessert!

Well....since it's getting warm (HOT...really hot) outside

it's time for some *COLD* desserts ;o} I thought I'd

share a favorite recipe!

RICE KRISPIE DESSERT

6 cups rice krispies

1 cup chopped pecans

1 stick butter

1/2 to 3/4 cup brown sugar

1 gallon ice cream

1 jar caramel ice cream topping

Remove ice cream from freezer for about 10 minutes to let it soften.

In a large saucepan, melt the butter. Add the rice krispies

and the pecans; stir until the butter is evenly distributed throughout and

the cereal and pecans are lightly toasted. Remove the pan from the heat

and stir in the brown sugar until it's well combined with the cereal and

pecans. In bottom of 9 x 13 inch baking dish evenly sprinkle half of

the cereal mixture. Spoon the softened ice cream carefully on top.

Once you have all of the ice cream on top of the mixture, you can press it

down to seal the edges and any empty spaces. Now add the remaining

half of the cereal mixture over the top. Cover with plastic wrap and place in

the freezer until firm.

Just before you serve it, warm your caramel topping in

the microwave and drizzle it generously over the top of the ice cream.

I was planning on taking a picture of myself as I was posting this...

in all of my morning glory ( p.j.'s that is~;o}) But my camera

batteries are dead.

Kayla took this picture at the park. I was trying

to get some good shots of the kids but I guess Kayla was

tired of posing for me and decided to take a few herself.

A Little Catch-Up

Things have been so busy lately...we finally put the pool up

(which was extremely difficult) I would love to have a word

with the person who named them the easy set pool!

I guess their planning on everyone having perfectly level ground

(which we do not) and a whole crew standing by to pitch

in....(which I do not) But I don have to thank my neighbor Mrs.

Debbie...she helped me and if it weren't for her help, her son

Seth would have no-where to swim ;o}

Then I decided now was as good a time as any to do the back

landscaping....and as soon as I finish adding the pea gravel I can

mark that off my to do list ;o} ~whoo hoo!

We were able to spend some time with my family in KY last week.

Jeremy preached a revival at my parents church and it was a great week.

I enjoyed having my 'whole' family there...it was kind-of neat.

Dad isn't doing so well. He feels bad all of the time and in his

own words he says, "I'm going down hill fast." The doctors at M.D.

Anderson are still baffled that he has done as well as he has. They

expected him to lose his sight, motor skills, control of his emotions and

basically be bed ridden before February of this year. He has done

remarkably well...he has been able to work, drive and do pretty

much whatever he's felt like doing.

He is on his way back from Texas now

and they should get the results from his tests next week

when they return. Please pray for good news...

I want a birdbath...
A new wardrobe would be nice...
A new truck...

2 big flower pots for my patio...

A big rug for my kitchen...

A new entertainment center...

Pleasures Delight perfume...

A ton of cute fabric...

An extra room for sewing ONLY...

My garage to stay cleaned out...

Someone to organize my closet...

A maid...

Something cute to put on my dining room table...

Some round or oval end tables for the living room...

...to finish the landscaping...

...cute black sandals...

A set of red plates...

A birdhouse for my kitchen...

Just be sure and let me know what your getting me

so I can mark it off the list.

He he he....just kidding!

Why Do They Have To Be So Cute?

I keep telling myself...they will grow up...they won't
be little & cute for long! But I think one
of the little grey ones has crept his way into my heart...;o}

Ethan was such a dare devil....

I thought that if I rode with Cheryl, Brian would be less

What's The Scoop?

Okay...time to come clean...

My name is Tracy....

And I'm addicted to Clean House!

No....not physically ;o}

I do like a clean house...

...but I'm talking about the t.v. show.

I don't watch much t.v....who has the time!
...but when I can squeeze in a little couch potato time...

...lately...it's Clean House time...that show cracks me up!

Seriously....do people really live like that?

Or you think they embelish it for more drama?

Have you seen it?

Well...in the one episode the lady of the house is still

breastfeeding her almost 3 year old...then they have stuff

from 3 houses crammed into one house!

Then there's that episode where the family has 3 older kids in

one tiny room and the dog poops all over everything....

Yuck!

And then the host of the show almost throws up

when she sees the kitchen...too funny!

I would be so embarrassed if I were them...

Come to think of it...it's sort of like therapy....

When I watch it....I feel so much better about my

little pac rat problem ;o}

Whew....I feel beter now that I have confessed ;o}

My Big Brother's 40!

I know everyone has at least one in their family....

that special someone who could tell you anything

and tell it in a way that you would believe it....

no matter how ridiculous.

This is my brother Brian and he is one of those people!

We had been planning a 40th birthday party for him for a while...
I was worried sick about all of the details
(little white lies I had to tell to get him there ;o})
falling apart at the last minute.

But everything went according to plan and
HE WAS SHOCKED!

He couldn't believe we GOT HIM!
...and just for the record....IT WASN'T EASY!!!

But it felt sooo good to finally (after 34 years)
get one over on him!...and he sooo deserved it...
He April fooled me so bad this year I was ready
to drive to KY to strangle him!...I know, It's partly my fault
for buying it....but you just have to know Brian.

I think this picture is funny...he looks like he was trying
to eat it before anyone saw him ;o}

My only regret is that I don't have too many pictures....

*GASP*

I know...that's unheard of around me...but I was so busy.

I just hope Brian forgets about this before I turn 40 ;o}

In case...you are reading this....Brian, I love ya bub!

and insurance and bids and etc....it's a lot to handle.

Hubby knows that God is in control and that He has a
plan already worked out for us...but it sure can be a heavy
weight on his shoulders....I don't know if anyone
else sees it, but I do....

Sometimes you just need to get away!
(he he he....If I had it my way....we'd still be gone!)

doesn't do it justice. The rest of the stuff is junk that has

never made it to the attic.

Now, the attic would be a good picture for today...but I
