I ran across this earlier today. I thought it was neat.

~Nothing~

How many times have you asked a friend or loved one what they want for their birthday just to hear the proverbial, 'nothing'?
No matter what holiday; birthday, anniversary, Christmas......When I ask my husband what he wants,
he always tells me 'nothing'.
Well, I found it.....I found nothing....So this year he may get exactly
what he asks for.
Don't feel sorry for him, I will get him a gift....but he will get 'nothing' first. ;o}

Do You See Any Resemblance?

I went to Kentucky over the weekend and was able to spend a little time with my brothers and my sister....that's a very rare thing. Friday we went to Ky lake with my brother Brian and his wife Cheryl. 'I would post those pictures, but my sister-n-law would make a special trip to Tn just to strangle me.'
On Saturday, my parents church was hosting a fish fry. Under Grace sang that night and all of my siblings were there. We were all four under the same roof! ...and it wasn't a funeral or Christmas!
I took advantage of it and snapped a picture with them. Not all together, but I will take what I can get.
Do you see any resemblance? I don't. :o}

Just For Laughs

A CANNIBAL TRIBE CAPTURED 3 MISSIONARIES: A Southern Baptist, an Independent Baptist, and a Primitive Baptist.
The chief told them the only way they could avoid death was by passing a trial.
Not having any other choice, they all agreed.
The chief told them the first part of the trial was to go out and bring back 10 pieces of the same fruit. The Southern Baptist came back with 10 apples. The chief told him he had to swallow all 10 pieces whole without uttering a sound or changing expression. The Southern Baptist choked on the first apple, so they killed him.
The Independent Baptist came back with 10 berries. The chief gave him the same orders . . . .
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-, then he "busted out" laughing and they killed him.
The Southern Baptist and the Independent Baptist met in heaven.
The Southern Baptist turned to the Independent Baptist and said, "You almost made it, Brother.
Why did you laugh?"
The Independent Baptist said, "I couldn't help it. I saw the
Primitive Baptist coming
back with an arm load of pineapples."

* Just Like Lucy *

If I were to pick one person from a television program that best describes myself, I would pick Lucy. She always manages to get herself into some funny situations......situations that most people never even imagine in their wildest dreams.

For example: We have a Ford Excursion.....for those of you who aren't exactly sure what that is, it is the largest SUV on the market.....18 inches longer than the Suburban.....I can put one kid in each row of seats. :o) Anyway, It just so happens that it is about 6 inches shorter than our garage door. LOL....okay, no getting ahead of me here....SOMEBODY forgot to put the door all of the way up.....YES, you guessed it, I backed into it. If it had been up another couple of inches I would have missed it all together! And to make matters worse....about three weeks later.....it happened again. So....no more parking the truck in the garage!

I remember once, when Kayla was a baby.....I had been grocery shopping and had forgotten the bread. I threw the diaper bag in the floor board, grabbed up the kids and ran back in to get the bread. I came out two minutes later and....NO CAR! See, what I didn't tell you is that I always kept a spare key in the diaper bag. (just in case) Jeremy had to leave work to come pick us up, not to mention we had to buy more groceries! The funny thing is, there was a man in the truck beside me when I got out of the car, HE WAS STILL THERE when I came back out of the store. Hello....I don't look anything like a short, black haired Hispanic man! We recovered the car a week or so later, no groceries, no car seats, no diaper bag, and to top it off..... it was totalled.

Then just yesterday, I was cleaning out the junk mail and accidentally double clicked on one. Yep, you are right again.....A VIRUS! It took my dear hubby all day to get rid of it! Luckily it wasn't a bad one, it was just one of those annoying ones.

I guess that means Jeremy is like Ricky....he is always bailing me out of these goofy situations. He's my superhero. I love him for accepting my 'Lucy'ness and loving me anyway.

There are many, many more 'Lucy' moments, but to save my reputation I will keep those to myself, my dear hubby and the Lord.

Does anyone else have a touch of Lucy in them?

I'm It.....

I have been tagged!
Mindy tagged me with a meme.....I am to list the foods that I craved with each pregnancy.
OK.....here goes.

Dalton: I craved Cheetos....the big puffy ones. I probably ate 100 bags! And canned green peas.....I wanted them cold, straight from the can with lots of pepper.
Ethan: I craved chocolate milk, mini chocolate donuts and ham sandwiches with tomato, lettuce and salad dressing. (I know, that's a lot of carbs.....the pictures tell it all) & no I will not post them.
Kayla Eden: I craved anything Italian. Pizza, spaghetti, manicotti, lasagna.....my husband stopped asking what was for dinner....he knew it was one of the above.

That's it for me......
If anyone else wants to play along feel free to join in.

~ It's All For Free ~

My niece (Kayce 7) and nephew (Caleb 5), have spent the week with us so they could come to our VBS. Since VBS has been going on all week, I have fallen behind on absolutely everything. I needed to get a lot done this morning before I go to meet Jason & Jessica to give the kids back.
So, I put the kids in their swim suits and let them swim while I start washing the truck. Before long they were all helping....(I wish they did that when I was doing laundry too!)

Here is a conversation I had with Caleb:
Caleb: What do you want me to do Aunt Tracy?
Me: Would you like to wash the wheels?
Caleb: Sure....I can do that.
(after finishing the wheels)
Caleb: Aunt Tracy, when you go to church everybody is gonna say,
"whoo whee, who cleaned those wheels? They are so shiny!"
Me: They are very shiny....you are doing a great job.
(After a few more minutes of washing on the truck)
Caleb: Aunt Tracy, can you believe I am doing all of this hard work for free?
Me: You are? You don't want me to pay you?
Caleb: No, I like hard work....but if you want me to catch snails, it will cost you a whole
bunch....`cuz they are dross (gross).
(His Grammy pays him to catch snails in her flower beds)

Family Day at VBS!

What a great week!
I love when VBS times comes around.....I am sort-of sad that it has to come to an end, but sort-of glad too
......I am wore out!
Despiste the efforts on the girls part, the offering was a tie.....well, it was until Rusty stepped in with a bag full of change for the boys. To help the missionaries?.....Naaaa.....he just REALLY wanted Mindy & I to get a face full of pie (but that's just my opinion).
Oh, well......anything for the kids....right?
Just for fun Jeremy & John jumped in too and we all got pied!
Here are a few pictures from (pie day).
Eat Pie Bro. John!

Bring on the pie! Go Hannah!
That's just too funny!

Wednesday Night At VBS!

Things are still on a roll.....our VBS volunteers are working hard to make sure everything runs as planned....and for the most part, it has. My dear hubby dressed up as Pharaoh! The kids thought he was hilarious.....of'course, if you could see the way he tries to do the movements to the songs, you would see that a costume isn't really necessary to get a laugh from the kids.

So far the girls are stomping the boys in the offering contest. Go Girls! I sure don't want to get a pie in the face. I am pretty sure that Mrs. Mindy agrees, that it would be much more fun to be on the giving end of the pie. Especially when dear hubby is on the receiving end. :}
Here are more pictures from VBS.

VBS here we come!

I haven't had the time to post, this week has been quite crazy with working on VBS and all... I am not usually a worrier, but I do get stressed, I admit it. Whenever something big is happening that I have some responsibility
in, I worry like crazy that everything is going to work out.......that all the details will be taken care of....... that nothing will be missed. And the whole time, I'm telling everyone else not to worry, just have fun with it.

Practice what you preach huh!

God reminded me that for all my fretting and worrying about VBS, and wanting to make sure everything gets done right, I am missing a great opportunity to trust in Him, and his provision and guidance. So, no more worrying about it......I am just going to have fun with it!

I am so excited about VBS starting tonight......and nervous too.....gotta few more lose ends to tie up LOL.....but I KNOW we are going to have a great time.

Be in prayer for our VBS. Something great is going to happen!

Are You Weird?

At the VBS workshop, during the usual conversation, the topic of one of Jennifer's latest blog posts came up. She had expressed her little 'OCD' habits.
You know, like getting up several times to check a locked door before you can sleep, always doing something an even number of times or avoiding white vans (now that's weird).
Everyone giggled the usual, 'you are so weird' giggle and rolled their eyes with that 'are they for real' look on their faces. Then I started to think.....We are all weird. We all have those little things that make us who we are.

So,I am going to list 10 (not) weird things about me.
1. I iron almost everything! I hate wrinkles!
2. I never drink form the rim of a glass at a restaurant, I have to have a straw.
3. When I use a fork, all of the prongs must be bent the same way, or I will bend them till they are.
4. After eating at a restaurant, I have to pile everything on the plates, utensils, napkins, etc.
5. All my towels in the linen closet have to face the same direction.
6. I can't sleep with the door un-locked.
7. I doodle words while I am on the phone, I have to finish the entire word before I can hang up.
8. I hate white vans and have a tendency to avoid them .
9. I like when digital clocks read numbers like 12:34, 11:11, or maybe even the date.
10. I can't think of anymore, but I want to end on an even number :)

Whew....that was hard!
I tag Mindy, Jennifer, Amy & Crunchy Christian Mom....but only if you want too!
