Not your average run-of-the-mill Twinkie!

I have been having one of those weeks...I haven't felt well
all week....one of the sweet kids at church is being tested for
the swine flu and until we find out the results I guess I'm
gonna feel like I have it ;o}
You know... it's one of those all in the mind things...
Like when you hear the words 'head lice' you automatically
start scratching your head ;o} (you're welcome~lol)

...then today has turned out to be one of those days...if
you know what I mean...
Plus...Hubby is leaving to preach a revival in Mississippi....
and this is the first time ever that I have not gone with him.
Trust me when I say that I better leave it at that...

I could soooo go into a never-ending post describing the flood
of emotions I am feeling and how it breaks my heart to
be staying behind and that I'm not going to be there to
support him...FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER!
Did I mention it's the first time ever?

~Insert Long drawn out sigh~

I suppose the Lord understood how I am feeling and wanted to
do a little something special for me today ;o} hehehe

When I went to the grocery this morning to pick up some
milk...I passed by the Twinkies! WHICH just happened
to be on sale?

Coincidence?

I think not!
So...I grabbed a box.
(Yeah, I know...you are what you eat...but today,
WHO CARES!) Be glad it was just one box!

When I got to the truck...I couldn't wait for my sweet,
yummy, treat. That God put on sale just for me...
because it is my favorite....AND I sooo need to
 spoil myself right now. (What can I say?
I'm low maintenance ;o})

I opened the box..pulled out a Twinkie...which looked a little
funny. The delicious cream filling had burst out of the seam...
Hmmm? I thought...what a sloppy job...no wonder they
were on sale. ;o{ Trust me, I know what a Twinkie is suppose
to look like...and these certainly weren't up to par!

I reached for another...to my disappointment...they were all that
way...the whole stinking box...the yummy cream was
bursting out the seams on every last one.

Oh well...I pulled back the wrapper and took a bite.

I promise...I would almost swear (if I was a swearing gal~
which I am not) that I heard the Hallelujah chorus!

The reason the Twinkies looked that way is because they
were ALL stocked full of cream~all 10 of them!
So full they were bursting at the sides!

And just between us...I am not too proud to lick the
cream off the wrappers! ;o}

Thank you Lord!

I soooo needed that extra squirt of sweet, yummy,
delicious cream filling today! :o}

More dollars than sense if you ask me ~ lol

Do you remember me saying that I love E-bay?

I really do!
It's a great way to earn some extra money and I
L.O.V.E. to find great deals!

I am still looking through the hundreds THOUSANDS of
bags hoping they will relist that adorable one I lost last
week ;o}

I ran across this one just a minute ago:

Is it just me or is $18,999.99 a little too much to pay for it?
Plus the shipping is $189.00

Then you have this nice brown one....it will only set you back
$12,950....with an additional $150.00 for shipping...seriously?
What are they shipping it in?

Well...then my curiosity got the best of me 'which it tends too
quite often' ;o}....and I searched by highest price first and
came up with this one:

This beauty can be yours for a measley $89,950.00.
Plus $150.00 for shipping....of'course.
If that's a little too much for you...there are some that offer free
shipping on down in the $50,000.00 range ;o}

That's just too funny to me...If I had $90,000.00 laying around
collecting dust...I think I could find something better than
a purse to spend it on.

But that's just me...

Little Red X's!

I love E-bay....

I have been looking for a few last minute school items,
some early Christmas gifts and possibly a few special things
just for me ;o}

Then Yesterday, I stumbled onto the cutest bag ever!
It was black. A (retro) floral print with lime green, white and a touch
of orange...soooo cute! It was made like the buttercup bag...
but a little bigger.

After looking through all of the bags...and deciding it was the one
for me...I bid on it...only to see this....

X You've just been outbid.

Hmmm
....no big deal.
So, I bid again....X
...and again X..
.and again X

So frustrating!

After the first couple of times...I want to reach
through the computer and strangle the other bidders ;o}
'with love and charity~of'course'

So, no cute little bag for me ;o{~not yet any way!
I found a new pattern and am gonna try to make my own!
If that doesn't work~

My blog friend Jen has just opened her Etsy shop.
I can always buy one of her adorable bags!

Silly Kitties!

I was wondering why the pool ring kept losing air!
Aren't cats suppose to be afraid of water?

So Busy...

Wow!

It has been so busy around here lately...we were in
Arkansas over the weekend at Oak Bowery Baptist Church.

My hubby and Bro. John were guest preachers...
and they did an awesome job!

Even though school is already in full swing here, we were
able to get the youth out of school Friday so they could go. I think
they had a good time...they had volleyball, basketball and
dodge ball to keep the kids busy.

Let me tell ya...
Oak Bowery's youth can play a mean game of
dodge ball. We sooo need to practice! ;o}

We are in the process of buying a new church bus
sooo....we had to borrow one. And would you
believe that on the way home Saturday we had a blowout?
The tire hit something under the van and caused us to leak anti-freeze
and start over heating...I guess one good thing that can come from all
of these blow outs---our youth boys will be well experienced in
how to change a tire. ;o}

I have tons of pictures...but I haven't had a chance to get them
onto the computer yet...I will asap and you can see us getting
creamed in the dodge ball game ;o}

Anyway...
I just wanted to let everyone know that I am still around...
just extremely busy!

Hooray For Dalton!

I took Dalton to get his driver's permit today...I'm not sure
who was more nervous...him or me ;o}

He passed and immediately started begging to drive home.

Sounds reasonable enough doesn't it?

Well, it probably wouldn't have worried me so much, but we drove
the truck to the testing center...the Ford Excursion...my mind immediately
went back to when we first bought it and my husband was explaining
how the truck is 18 inches longer than a Suburban and the biggest
SUV ever made....not to mention, since it is the biggest SUV ever
made...the roll-rate was really high ;o{

So, you can see why I was so nervous having my son...who ran over
the neighbor's tiny, little tree in their great, big yard with the four wheeler
drive such big, wide truck on these skinny, winding, hilly, narrow,
country roads....especially with me in the passenger seat...

...but I did take comfort in that unless we meet a semi truck or an army
tank the odds were in our favor...since we were in such a big truck...;o}

...but he did pretty well...I, on the other hand was a little jumpy ;o}
and I may have gasped a few times...okay, I gasped A LOT
of times... but we did make it safely home.

I was sure to make a dramatic exit out of the truck and
thank the Lord for getting me safely home :o}

Secretly, I think Dalton was doing the same thing!
